Karl A. Clausen Announces Retirement After 35 Years of Service to the European Gas Community

Taylor-Wharton Appoints Michael Rollins as new European Sales and Marketing Manager

Mechanicsburg, PA – (June 6, 2005): Taylor-Wharton today announced that Mr. Karl A. Clausen, Managing Director of the company’s European Operations will retire at the end of 2005. Mr. Clausen has served the European gas community for over 35 years and, most recently, has directed the European sales and marketing efforts for Taylor-Wharton’s Husum, Germany and Kosice, Slovakia facilities. President Ronald W. Kaplan noted that “Mr. Clausen has served Taylor-Wharton with both enthusiasm and distinction; his uncommon dedication to our customers and his wise council will be missed.”

In preparation for Mr. Clausen’s retirement at year-end, Taylor-Wharton has named Mr. Michael Rollins as European Sales and Marketing Manager. Mr. Rollins assumed his new position on June 1, 2005 and will report directly to Mr. Clausen during the transition period. Mr. Rollins will be responsible for directing the European sales of all Taylor-Wharton cryogenic equipment, high pressure cylinders and acetylene cylinders; Sherwood precison valves; and, Structural Composites Industries composite-wrapped cylinders.

Mr. Rollins is a graduate of Florida State University (USA) and brings over 15 years of sales and marketing experience to his new position. The past 4 years, Mr. Rollins has lived and worked directly within the European gas industry. Hoyt Fitzsimmons, Vice President and General Manager of Taylor-Wharton, commented that “Mr. Rollins’ broad sales and marketing experience in both the US and Europe and his expertise within the European gas community is a perfect compliment to our focus on total solution selling.
